Full Day Fishing Charters

Private, full-day fishing trips with expert local captains—targeting Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Kokanee on Tahoe’s world-class waters.

Spend a full day on Lake Tahoe chasing some of the best freshwater gamefish in the Sierra. Our full-day fishing charters are the ideal way to cover more water, fish multiple depths, and take full advantage of changing conditions throughout the day. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to fishing, this trip offers plenty of action and the time to truly dial into the bite.

When to Go

We launch in the early morning—typically between 5:30 AM and 8:30 AM—when conditions are calmest and fish activity is at its peak. These prime hours often align with Tahoe’s “major feeding window,” where wind, light, and bait movement all come together. Morning bites often set the tone for a great day, but full-day charters give us time to adapt and keep rods bent through late morning and into the afternoon.

Most of our fishing is done in the top 80 feet of the water column, where Mackinaw (Lake Trout) are most active, though we’ll explore deeper if needed. These fish can hold as shallow as 15 feet in the spring and drop deep when it’s warm. We’re dialed in on seasonal movements and know where they’re biting.

Our boats are custom-built by KingFisher for serious fishing, rigged with state-of-the-art electronics, and powered by Mercury. You’ll fish with premium gear from Daiwa and Abu Garcia—our setups include line counters and top-tier tackle for consistent results. We also provide light snacks, water, and plenty of local insight.

Led by Tahoe natives Captain Joby Cefalu and Captain Justin Cain, our team has decades of experience fishing these waters. We don’t run cookie-cutter trips—each charter is tailored to the bite, the season, and your group.
Bundle up in layers, bring your fishing license, and get ready for a day you won’t forget.
