Once we set sail, it typically takes just 5 to 45 minutes to reach our fishing grounds, where the real excitement begins. We employ a variety of fishing methods, including jigging, deep-water trolling, and drift fishing. These techniques are carefully chosen to maximize your chances of landing a variety of fish species that call Lake Tahoe home.

Our experienced Master Fishing Guides are here to ensure you have an incredible fishing experience. They’ll take you right to where the fish are biting, teach you the tricks of the trade, and assist you in landing your prized catch. Rest assured, they’re equipped with the finest gear and light tackle to make sure your catch is nothing short of spectacular.

Lake Tahoe boasts an impressive array of fish species, and you’ll have the chance to reel in Mackinaw, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Kokanee Salmon (available from July to September). It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore the diversity of this magnificent lake’s aquatic life.

Fishing licenses are mandatory for individuals aged 16 and older, valid for both California and Nevada. If needed, we can supply you with an online purchase link or offer assistance in obtaining one at our office.
Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes before departure. As we guide you down to the boat, you’ll pass by the bathroom. While both of our boats offer onboard bathroom facilities, it’s a good idea to consider a quick restroom stop before boarding.
The duration of our journey to the fishing grounds can vary, typically ranging from 5 to 45 minutes, depending on the type of fishing and where the fish are active. Our priority is your success, and while longer runs may reduce your time in the water, our experienced guides assess daily conditions to determine the best location for your successful fishing experience.
During the initial fifteen minutes and throughout the trip, we take great care to provide education and guidance. Lake Tahoe is a truly unique fishery, and we have honed our expertise in both technique and gear. Rest assured, you’re in the capable hands of the best in the business on the lake. Our thorough instructions significantly contribute to achieving a higher catch rate.
Each trip commences with a comprehensive safety protocol, though unexpected emergencies are unlikely. We provide information on the location of life vests and instructions for contacting the US Coast Guard if the Captain is unavailable. As licensed Coast Guard Captains with years of experience, your safety is our top priority.
Our fishing trips have a catch limit of five fish per angler, irrespective of the species. We also advocate for catch and release, respecting the preferences of those who prefer not to keep their catch. We prioritize responsible fishing practices and encourage our guests to retain only what they require or desire, contributing to the preservation of a thriving and sustainable fishery.
With over 25 years of experience, we have honed our expertise in various fishing methods on Lake Tahoe. Among our popular approaches is jigging, providing anglers with a hands-on experience from hook to net. Furthermore, our proficiency extends to a variety of techniques, such as drift fishing, deep-water trolling, and jigging. Our primary aim is to leverage these diverse methods to enhance your fishing success and guarantee an enjoyable experience for all our clients.
We handle the cleaning and bagging of your catch for your convenience. Additionally, we collaborate with multiple restaurants, allowing you to savor your catch on the very day of your charter experience.
We offer complimentary waters and sodas on board for our clients. Please note that due to legal restrictions, we cannot provide food or alcoholic beverages. However, we do encourage our clients to bring their own if they wish to enjoy them during the trip.
