When to Go

From April through October, we typically depart between 7:00 and 10:15 AM, with the best action often coming early. That’s when Tahoe’s trout and salmon species are on the move and on the hunt. The morning bite is known as the “major feeding period,” and it’s when your odds of landing quality fish are at their highest.

Our morning half-day trips are open to all experience levels—from first-timers to seasoned anglers. You’ll fish for Mackinaw (Lake Trout), Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Kokanee Salmon (in season, July–September). We use proven methods like light-tackle trolling, jigging, and drifting, and we adjust our approach based on real-time conditions to keep you on the bite.

Every trip is private and guided by a Master Lake Tahoe Fishing Guide—locals who live and breathe these waters. They’ll help with everything from setup to landing and cleaning your catch. We supply all the gear: top-quality rods, reels, bait, and terminal tackle. Just show up dressed in layers (Tahoe mornings can be crisp), and we’ll handle the rest.

Our boats are custom-built KingFishers—fast, stable, and equipped for serious fishing with all the comforts you need. You’re also welcome to bring along your own snacks and drinks to make the trip your own.

If you’re after a quiet, beautiful, and action-packed way to start the day, this is it.
